Alan From Oklahoma

I met Alan in Kleman Plaza in Tallahassee, Florida.  He was sitting in the plaza enjoying a beautiful spring evening.  We caught eyes, he commented on my camera, and I sat down to speak with him.  He was finishing off his third Malt Liquor and just being “in the moment”.   One of many transient in the area, he was from Oklahoma…. I spoke with him for a while….  I asked if he minded that I took some photos of him and I did.  I have used him to create another image that is a part of my “enlightenment” series.  Through meditation we can open ourselves to the vast and unlimted area of “inner space” and move towards greater enlightenment.   The image is called “into the vastness”.  Enjoy!

Why am I here?

For less existential reasons I desire to connect with those interested in the Divine Journey and the Arts.  For me, it is impossible to disconnect the two.  I have had a web presence with my photography for the past 3 years, www.edwardbabcock.com, and now, I am told, a blog is a must for the Internet artist. I am also interested in the Divine Journey and connecting with others conscious of that travel.  Below is my newest piece called “Surfacing” which will ultimately become a part of a collection called “Enlightenment”.  In this piece I am “surfacing”, coming to clarity, greater wisdom and understanding.
